| The unique and high-performance DIY telescope kit jointly developed by
Kasai and Kokusai Kohki. Featuring a high-performance 50mm F4 ED Apo objective lens produced by Kasai. With assembly taking only 5-10 minutes, anyone can
easily and affordably enjoy the sharp image quality of an ED Apo refractor.
A photo-tripod mounting bush and a 10mm eyepiece are included, allowing
you to start astronomical observation immediately. You can observe lunar
craters, Saturn's rings, and Jupiter's two belts with ample sharpness.
Furthermore, as 1.25" standard eyepieces can be used, this kit is
also recommended for advanced telescope users who already own several eyepieces.
In addition to its usefulness as a casual sub-scope for balcony observation
or a high-performance ED finderscope, the easy-to-process paper tubes make
it ideal for creating a customized scope. The 57mm tube diameter would
even be suitable to make binocular telescopes, too. Fully utilizing the
advantages of high-performance ED lens, please try to explore various possibilities! |
| <Tube Features> |
| This kit can be assembled in 5-10 minutes. A detailed instruction manual
with many photos of the assembly process is included, so anyone, including
children, can easily assemble it. The main materials are extremely robust
3mm thick cardboard tubes. All the inside surfaces are fully anti-reflection
black painted, which effectively reduce the internal reflections, yielding
high image contrast. The inside diameter of the drawtube is as large as
45mm, which can avoid the aperture vignetting that often occurs with an
innexpensive short-focus refractor when the drawtube is retracted. The
standard 1.25" eyepiece adapter allows the use of various eyepieces.
Besides, as a photo-tripod mounting bush is included, the scope can be
mounted onto a photo tripod, ensuring stable observations even at high
magnifications. |
| <For Beginners> |
| This kit is easy to assemble for people of all ages, and it's a truly rare
product that allows you to easily enjoy the sharp image quality of high-performance
ED Apo objective lens. We highly recommend this kit, equipped with an excellent
lens, as a first telescope for children or as the first choice for telescope
beginners. Even with just the included MC K-10mm eyepiece, you can see
not only the craters of the moon but also Saturn's rings, Jupiter's belts,
and its four large moons. By purchasing additional eyepieces, you will
be able to see a wider variety of objects in even greater detail. To ensure
a successful "first step," we highly recommend choosing this
excellent DIY telescope kit. |
| <For Advanced Telescope Users> |
| There are various uses of small-aperture, short-focus ED Apo refractors.
Using it as a standalone sub-scope is interesting, of course, but for example
- as the main tube, despite being made of cardboard, is very robust, it
can easily be mounted in a standard 50mm finderscope bracket. By replacing
the finderscope of your telescope with this one, you can utilize it as
a high-performance ED finderscope and/or a guiding scope. Furthermore,
as the tube diameter is as small as 57mm, it would be interesting to use
a pair to build your own binocular telescopes. Additionally, taking advantage
of the easy-to-cut cardboard tubes, you could shorten the tube length to
extend the back focus, enabling the use of diagonal mirrors or prisms.
To maximize the advantages of high-performance ED lenses, please try exploring
various possibilities! (For advanced telescope users who already own several
eyepieces, the "w/o eyepiece version" listed below is more recommended.) |
